Robby Malof, head of the Limitless BJJ instructors, is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt under 5x World Champion Vitor Oliveira and the most accomplished grappler in the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky area. A lifelong martial artist since 2006, he captured the 2023 IBJJF No-Gi Pan-American Championship and is currently ranked among the Top IBJJF Black Belt No-Gi Middleweights in the world—as well as in the Top 100 Pound-for-Pound Black Belts worldwide. Robby Is the first person from Ohio to compete in the UFC BJJ making him a true pioneer of the sport!
After attending the University of Cincinnati, he opened Limitless BJJ & Fitness in June 2014 at just 22 years old. Since then, he has built an impressive record of over 600 grappling wins, multiple major titles, and more than 18 years of coaching and competition experience at the highest level. As a result, he stands among the most experienced coaches in the region. Moreover, his resume includes training and coaching World & Pan-American champions, professional and amateur MMA fighters, boxers, and kickboxers.

Coach Tate’s Muay Thai & Martial Arts Training Background
Kru in Muay Thai
Coach Tate has been a Muay Thai and boxing coach for over 26 years. Also, he holds the rank of Kru (instructor) under the United States Muay Thai Association. In addition to his Muay Thai expertise, he has extensive training in a form of Muay Boran (ancient boxing), called Muay Chao Cherk (bound fist fighting), and Ler Drit (Thai Military Combat), under the tutaledge of Arjarn Kevin Jakub, co-founder of the USMTA.
Throughout his career, he has trained many amateur and professional fighters and was the head striking coach for Team Chaos, an MMA team that was founded in Salem, Oregon.
In the realm of boxing, Coach Tate’s top pro is the only fighter to knock down Keith “One Time” Thurman; the current WBA Welterweight Champion. This was a huge accomplishment, considering that they took the fight on two days notice.
As an Atlanta Police Officer, his high level fighting and self defense skill enabled him to be a member of the Mayor’s Executive Protection Unit, where he was assigned to protect the Mayor of Atlanta, his family, and visiting dignitaries. Furthermore, as a K-9 Bomb Detection Handler, Coach Tate was part of a federally certified bomb detection and disposal unit that was responsible for all related bomb threats at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.
In Oregon, he was the Lieutenant Coordinator for Use of Force and Defensive Tactics at the Department of Public Safety Standards and Training (DPSST, the certifying agency for law enforcement in Oregon), In that role, he was responsible for designing and implementing a combat system for police and parole & probation.

Bill’s BJJ & Martial Arts Training Background
2nd Degree BJJ Black Belt
Bill is one of the experienced Limitless BJJ instructors, bringing over two decades of Jiu Jitsu training and teaching experience to the mats.
In addition, he started officially training in Jiu Jitsu February of 1998 in Mount Healthy at a Gracie association affiliate.
At that time, his first training partners were Josh Rafferty and Rich Franklin.
Afterward, He then moved on to Middletown,Ohio where he trained with a lot of high level MMA & BJJ athletes like Billy Rush, Maurice Walker, Neil Rowe, Kerry Schall and Mojo Horne.
Bill earned his blue belt in 2003 and his purple belt in 2008.
Several years later, in June of 2016 he received his Brown Belt from Vitor Oliveira and Robby Malof under GFTeam.
Then, on December 1st, 2018, Bill received his Black Belt from Robby Malof, as Robby’s and Limitless BJJ’s first promotion to Black Belt — a title he has well earned after 2 decades of top-tier training.
Over the years, he feels very blessed to have trained with some very high level people over the years such as: Josh Souder, Dan Doerner, Gustavo Machado, Marcus Aurelio, Sean Wilson, Rich Franklin, Matt Brown & many more!
Moreover, with over a decade of experience Bill has a great understanding of all the basic and fundamental positions of BJJ.

John began his Jiu Jitsu journey in 2020 at the age of 31 and has called Limitless home since day one. Since then, training here has shaped both his skills and passion for the art. As a result, he now takes pride in passing along the knowledge he’s gained to the Limitless community as one of the dedicated Limitless BJJ instructors.
Additionally, you can catch John teaching the 11:30am–12:30pm lunch classes, Monday – Thursday.

Konstatin's Muay Thai & Martial Arts Training Background
Konstantin is a black belt in Kyokushin Karate and began training in traditional Kyokushin Karate in Russia at the age of 12. Over the years, he competed in more than 100 full-contact karate fights before evetually moving to the United States in 2018. That same year, he joined Limitless and expanded his journey into traditional Muay Thai kickboxing, where he continues to train and compete.
Moreover, with more than 20 years of martial arts experience, Konstantin brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to the gym. As a result, he has become an outstanding coach in the striking arts, helping students of all levels refine their skills and reach their full potential.

Simon’s Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Training Background

Simon began studying the art of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu at Robson Moura Nations United (RMNU) association in Florida.
Also, it was there that he was promoted to the rank of purple belt under black belt Lane Andrews at RMNU South Tampa.
Since then, he has trained under professor Robby and achieved his Black Belt in June of 2023.
Moreover, now part of the experienced team of Limitless BJJ instructors, he currently teaches BJJ fundamentals and trains with the philosophy that consistency, humility, and a positive attitude are the keys to improving as a martial artist.

Shane is by far the hardest worker in the gym. With a work ethic like no other, its no surprise in less than 5 years he reached the rank of brown belt and won a NOGI Pan-American Championship!
In addition to his dedication, Shane always has the biggest smile on his face willing to help and learn from anyone. Moreover, while he specializes in half guard, he has developed a very well-rounded game.
Furthermore, for those looking to train with him, you can catch Shane teaching the morning classes Monday–Thursday from 7:30 AM–8:30 AM. Additionally, he periodically fills in for the afternoon and evening classes, sharing his knowledge and passion with students of all levels.

Trey began his martial arts journey in 2018 and joined Limitless in January 2020. Also, he earned his blue belt in 2021 and quickly found his calling in teaching, stepping into a coaching role for the kids program in 2022. Then, in 2024, Trey was promoted to purple belt and became the Head Kids Coach at Limitless.
As one of the dedicated Limitless BJJ instructors, Trey has a deep passion for helping and teaching children. In this role, he is committed to building not only their martial arts skills, but also their confidence, discipline, and love for the sport.

Marshall began training at Limitless in 2014 as one of Professor Robby’s first private lesson students. After a year of privates, he fully enrolled as a student and quickly progressed through the ranks, competing at white, blue, and purple belt.
Additionaly, now that he is part of the experienced team of Limitless BJJ instructors, and with a strong passion for teaching, Marshall now shares his knowledge by leading several 6:30pm intermediate classes each week.
Furthermore, his dedication to both learning and coaching inspires students at all levels to stay consistent and motivated in their own BJJ journeys.

Kyle’s BJJ & Martial Arts Training Background

Coach Kyle began training at Limitless in July 2021 with no prior grappling background. Also, his first year was tough—losing 5 of 6 matches in his debut competition, but persistence paid off. Furthermore, he went on to win double gold at FUJI and Grappling Industries, earning his blue belt in April 2023.
Moreover, known for his exciting, submission-oriented style, Kyle has competed in multiple superfights and tournaments with continued success. Additionally, he was promoted to purple belt in June 2025, and he’s been a kids instructor since February 2024, using his own journey to inspire students with the value of consistency and hard work.

Devyn’s BJJ & Martial Arts Training Background

Devyn played volleyball in highschool and at a collegiate level. Looking for an individual based sport while attending college at the University of Cincinnati – Devyn began training at Limitless in 2023. After about a year of training and competing at local tournaments, Devyn began teaching the kids classes. Moreover, he obtained his blue belt in the summer of 2024. In July of 2025, he decided to quit his post college position at CVG and work full time as the General Manager at Limitless.

Hannah began training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in 2018 while in college in Southern California, earning her blue belt before moving to Cincinnati and joining Limitless in 2019. Moreover, she was promoted to purple belt in 2023, she now leads the women’s-only class on Fridays and is passionate about supporting and growing the women’s community at Limitless. Alongside teaching, she trains consistently in both Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai and actively competes in local tournaments and superfights.
