Cincinnati BJJ – Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Classes
Traditional Brazilian Jiu Jitsu [BJJ] in Cincinnati, OH
Limitless Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Sub-Categories
At Limitless BJJ, our Cincinnati Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) classes all follow a similar structure in layout.
We line up in front of the instructor, bow in, and do a light five minute jog around the mats. After the jog we do a more formal warm-up for roughly 10-15 minutes. This warm-up will include bear crawls, crab walks, cartwheels, shrimps, and a variety of other movements.
Once our warm-up has officially concluded we will gather in the main area of the mats and the instructor will begin teaching technique.
A large portion of each class is dedicated to teaching and drilling the techniques being taught with a partner.
The technique portion of class will be the longest duration of the class’ segments.
For the later part of class we spend ~20 minutes sparring. New people are invited to watch the more experienced members spar for their first time but are encouraged to join if they feel comfortable.
Note: Open Policy on Gis
It should be noted that we do not follow a strict Gi policy at the gym.
If you are unfamiliar with what a Gi is:
A Gi is the traditional uniform Jiu-Jitsu is taught in.
GI colors must be white, blue or black.
The only requirements for your Gi are for it to be clean and to be in usable condition (no major tears or holes).
